The project was a part of an ongoing Capital Improvement Program that LIFELABS had initiated and named “Renovations: High Volume Laboratories in Ontario.” The contract consisted of 3 separate projects:

1. Galaxy Bio-Genetics Lab, This project involved the interior fit-up of a 10,000sq.ft. Bio-Genetics Lab. New spaces built for RNA & DNA extraction, Bio-Informatics, Cell Culture Bio-Lab, Chemical & sample storage, office space. 

 

2. International Reference Lab, This project involved 44,080sq.ft. location consists of pre-analytical logistics, hematology, high-volume chemistry, special chemistry, microbiology, urinalysis, building services and amenities. 

 

3. Kennedy Reference Lab. This 25,537sq.ft. facility consists of pre-analytical logistics, hematology, high-volume chemistry, special chemistry, microbiology, urinalysis, building services and amenities that were renovated throughout the project.
